Born on the water
I grew up in Washington State — surrounded by guides, rivers, and saltwater. My parents took me clam digging on Long Beach when I was three days old. I've been on boats my entire life.
I watched guides I knew juggle spreadsheets, text threads, Venmo requests, and Facebook groups to run their businesses. They were incredible on the water and exhausted off it. The business side was eating them alive.
So I started building tools for them. A marketplace where clients can find and book guides. A smart assistant that handles bookings over text. Each one designed around how guides actually work — not how software companies think they should.
Guidepole is bootstrapped and independent. No venture capital, no corporate parent. We grow when guides succeed, and that's exactly how we want it.
